After the Christmas break and a forced stoppage period due to Covid surge, the second round finally got underway with this unusual Monday afternoon match. It was another close affair as the two Uniteds, Swieqi and Fgura shared the spoils in a nil-nil draw. It was a balanced tie with Swieqi just that more offensive in the first period aided by strong breeze. After ten minutes Moore blocked on the ground on his first post with Caruana replying at the other end with a curled shot that sailed just over the bar. In the injury time of the first period a Swieqi shot from outside the box hit the top part of the crossbar. After the interval Moore again saved on the ground and then grasped the ball from a free header from a corner kick few minutes later. Fgura added more punch in a late rally and on the 75th minute Joey Reno Vella was denied by the keeper who saved his shot on the turn from close range. Then Ewertton ‘s shot from distance after a good personal move was brilliantly saved to a corner by the keeper. From the resulting corner the extreme defender turned away the ball to another corner from a Gandini header. The goalie saved the day for Swieqi with another block from close range from a Conrado try.
